This is an interesting project for a lazy summer afternoon.
Here we take you the steps to make beads through wrapping paper and newspapers.
Making paper beads is a fun project to play with your kids as they will love making jewelry with their own beads.
Different types of paper with various textures can be used.
You can choose from thousands of bead patterns.
Roll the paper better and you will get the best results.
Wrapping paper beads material required: gift wrapping paper, paper cutter, glue, toothpick and glitter powder.
Methods: The wrapping paper was cut into strips about 1 inch wide and about 8 to 10 inch long with a paper cutter.
If you don\'t have wrapping paper, you can also use glossy pages from old magazines;
Just make sure the paper is not too thick or you will have a hard time making beads.
Now, apply glue on the normal side of the note.
Start winding the note on the toothpick from one end and keep rolling until you roll it to the other end.
When you reach the end of the glue strip, apply some more glue to seal the end.
To give the beads a consistent shape, scroll it between the fingers and the table top.
Let the beads dry for a few hours;
When the toothpick is completely dry, carefully slide the toothpick out without affecting the shape.
Now, apply a little bit of glue diluted with water with a brush.
When the beads are almost dry, roll it with some sparkling powder.
Make more beads in the same way and string them together to make bracelets or necklaces.
Bead material required: old newspaper, water, strong glue, sandpaper, acrylic paint, varnish and ribbon.
Method: first, tear the old newspaper into small pieces until you have a whole bunch.
Place the pieces in a large pan and pour in boiling water so the newspaper is completely covered.
Let it sit for an hour and stir every 15 minutes.
After an hour, drain the water from the pan and add about half a cup of glue.
This mixture should have a similar texture to mashed potatoes.
Now roll this mixture in your hands and make small beads for them to dry in the sun for 2 to 3 days.
When the beads are completely dry, polish the beads down with sandpaper to smooth any rough edges.
Drill a hole in the middle and apply it in acrylic color.
After the paint is dry, apply a coat of varnish so that the paint does not fade.
A colorful ribbon is made from beads to a unique necklace.
